NetLayerPrivacy Policy
NetLayer is built so we simply don’t hold sensitive information about what you do online. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, what we deliberately do not collect, and how we handle the little we need.
The short version
- We do not log your browsing, DNS queries, or the contents of your traffic.
- Your subscription link is a private credential — it is stored encrypted on your device and never shared.
- We collect the bare minimum needed to sell you a plan and keep the service working.
- We don’t sell or rent your data to anyone.
Who we are
NetLayer (“we”, “us”) provides a VPN / anti-censorship service and the NetLayer app. You can reach us any time at support@netlayer.online.
What we collect
- Account & subscription. When you buy a plan through our Telegram bot (@NetLayerBot), we process your Telegram ID and your plan/subscription details in order to create and manage your access.
- Connection metadata needed to run the service. Our servers process the minimum required to route your connection (for example aggregate data usage against your plan). We do not build a history of the sites you visit.
- Optional diagnostics. If — and only if — you turn on diagnostics and tap “send”, the app sends anonymised technical logs to help us fix problems. This never contains your subscription link or your browsing.
What we do NOT collect
- Your browsing history, the websites/apps you use, or your DNS lookups.
- The contents of your traffic (it is encrypted end-to-end through the tunnel).
- Personal information such as your real name, home address, photos, contacts, files, or messages.
Your subscription link
Your subscription link is the key to your service and is treated as a secret. In the app it is stored using the device’s encrypted storage (Android Keystore) and is transmitted only over HTTPS to NetLayer’s own servers to establish your connection. We never share it with third parties and never print it in logs.
How we use what we collect
- To create your account, deliver your plan, and connect you.
- To keep the service reliable and secure and to prevent abuse.
- To fix bugs — only using the optional diagnostics you choose to send.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We only use trusted infrastructure providers to host our servers, and we share information with authorities solely where we are legally compelled to — and we can only ever share what we actually hold, which does not include your browsing.
Retention & deletion
We keep account and subscription information for as long as your plan is active and for a short period afterwards for billing and abuse-prevention. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via @NetLayerBot or support@netlayer.online.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS / modern VPN transports). Credentials on your device are stored using the platform’s encrypted storage. We keep our servers hardened and updated.
Children
NetLayer is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 13+ (18+ recommended).
Changes
If we update this policy we will change the date above and, for significant changes, notify users through the app or the bot.
